Geniuslink and Replug both turn long links into short, trackable ones, but they are built for different jobs. Geniuslink is made for affiliate product links: it sends shoppers to the right product in their local Amazon store, offers pages that list several places to buy, and charges per click. Replug is a general link management tool: branded short links on your domain, retargeting pixels, call-to-action overlays, bio pages and QR codes, on flat monthly plans.

A detailed comparison of Geniuslink vs. Replug
URL shortening and customization
Geniuslink short links
Geniuslink is cloud-based software built around affiliate links. You paste a product link and, if you’ve connected your affiliate programs, Geniuslink adds your affiliate details automatically, according to its features page. Links can use the geni.us domain or your own custom domain, and you can add vanity URLs such as geni.us/MyProduct.
Its best-known features are localization (each shopper reaches the same product in their own country’s Amazon store) and mobile deep linking, which opens Amazon links in the Amazon app when possible.
Pricing is per click: the $6 monthly base fee includes 1,000 clicks, and each extra 1,000 clicks costs $3.50, according to Geniuslink’s pricing page.
Replug short links
Replug takes a different approach: it is built for any link you share, not only product links, so it suits content creators, agencies, e-commerce businesses and marketers.
You create branded links on your own domain, set custom slugs (Essentials and up), add tags, and shorten links for texts with SMS links. Replug’s deep links open 79 apps on iOS and Android and fall back to the app store or a URL you choose (Scale and Agency).

With Replug’s link shortening tool, plans include 1,000 clicks a month on Free, 10,000 on Essentials, 50,000 on Scale and 250,000 on Agency, and links keep working if you reach a limit.

Retargeting pixels and A/B testing
Geniuslink retargeting and traffic split
Geniuslink lets you add retargeting pixels to links, including links to sites you don’t manage, and supports Facebook, Google Ads and more, with an option to exclude EU visitors for GDPR, according to its features page. Its A/B testing sends a percentage of clicks to different destinations, for example to compare two stores.

Replug retargeting and traffic split
Replug adds retargeting pixels to your short links for networks including Meta, Google, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Pinterest, so people who click can see your ads later. Essentials includes 1 pixel; Scale and Agency are unlimited. You can also add CTAs to the same links. Learn more about retargeting.

Replug’s split-testing feature sends one link to up to 20 URLs with the traffic share you set, and shows clicks for each variation (Scale and Agency).
Bio link and CTA creation
Geniuslink bio link and CTA
Geniuslink doesn’t list bio-link pages or CTA overlays. Its Choice Pages are product landing pages that let shoppers choose where to buy from one link, for example Amazon or another retailer.
Replug bio link and CTA
Replug lets you build bio-link pages with links, videos, text, social profiles and an RSS feed block, and add retargeting pixels to bio pages from Essentials. It also offers call-to-action (CTA) overlays from Essentials: buttons, links or forms with your headline and message, shown on the pages you link to.

Dynamic QR codes
Geniuslink dynamic QR codes
We didn’t find QR codes on Geniuslink’s pricing or features pages.
Replug dynamic QR codes
Replug creates dynamic QR codes for short links and bio pages on every plan (10 on Free, 100 on Essentials, unlimited on Scale and Agency). Custom colors, shapes and frames start on Essentials, and you can download QR codes as SVG, PNG, JPEG or WEBP. Changing a printed code’s destination and adding a logo need Scale or Agency.

Geniuslink vs. Replug for Amazon links
Most of Geniuslink’s features are about Amazon. Whatever tool you use, Amazon’s rules apply: its Associates Program Policies say you will not use a link shortening service “in a manner that makes it unclear that you are linking to an Amazon Site,” and will not cloak or obscure the site that a click comes from. Geniuslink explains on its Amazon-safe page how it says it meets those rules, for example by labeling links as going to Amazon.
Replug isn’t built for Amazon Associates links, and we don’t recommend shortening or cloaking them with Replug. Link to Amazon directly where your program requires it, and use Replug for your other links: your site, bio page, campaigns and QR codes.
